SeniorWeb and TAO win the ‘Learn for Life Encouragement Award 2013’

Our partner SeniorWeb (Netherlands) has won the “Learn for Life Encouragement Award 2013” for its TAO-activities. This Dutch Award is annually given during the ‘Learning Festival’, which aims to encourage people to further develop their knowledge and skills.

The ‘Learn for Life Encouragement Award’ rewards Dutch organizations which excel in projects in the field of adult education. The winning projects must be innovative and transferable, and their impact should be clearly demonstrated, not only in the Netherlands but also in other countries. Our partner SeniorWeb Netherlands successfully presented its adult educational activities within the TAO-framework, and was rewarded with the Encouragement Award during the Dutch ‘Learning Festival’ on 13 September 2013. The Award consists of a certificate and media attention.

From the press announcement:
“The jury was excited about this appealing European project (TAO). Best practices are shared with regard to the establishment and operation of an online platform for and by seniors. Furthermore, the management of volunteers on such online platforms was examined, as was the production of educational products for and by seniors. This project offers good prospects for broad dissemination and further follow-up activities.”

Congratulations with the ‘Learn for Life Encouragement Award 2013’!
